MUMBAI: The inaugural Formula 1 Jet Ski Race held at H2O Sports Complex, Mumbai on 24-25 October concluded with some exciting performance from the participants. In the end it was Uruguay’s Mathias Casa, who won the title, followed by Celio Vinicius from Brazil in 2nd place and Rainer De Wispelaere from Germany finishing third.
The event, which did not have any sponsors when it was launched few days back in Mumbai got a title sponsor in the form of H2O just before the event began Saturday. The race was later renamed as H2O Formula 1 Jet Ski. The event was managed by R-One Events, while, Juice Events & Advertising Solutions marketed the event. Besides, May Fair Hotels & Resorts was the Food & Beverages partner.
The winners and runners-up were felicitated at a ceremony in the presence of prominent celebrities like Bonito Chhabria (son of Dilip Chhabria), Ankeet Somani of H2O, film star Suniel Shetty, business tycoon Gautam Singhania, Aashim Mongia of West Coast Marine, amongst others.
“Formula 1 Jet Ski race was fabulous. Of course, it has a potential to grow in the country, which you can see that from crowd that has turned up,” said Raymond Group Chairman & MD Gautam Singhania, who was also present to witness the race.
