this time, i will show you about gown design (the sketch). you might want to know it, right? oh, i almost forgot, and i will show you some tips about mixing outfit! YEAY!!

Indonesian Hottest Fashion style 2009

Well hello all!! guess who?? it's me again, VEREN.. remember me? i'm the 2nd editor of this blog. i'm in charge for the fashion section "fashiolicious".

all right, this time i will show you some information about INDONESIAN hottest fashion style.. Indonesia is my country, so yeah, you know what i mean, right?

OK.. that's too much information (whaha..)

Indonesian Hottest Fashion style 2009

Indonesia is a fascinating country, that's in my opinion. i dont know about you. but it doesn't matter, ya' know.. anyway, in Indonesia there are a lot of designers too, they are Adjie Notonegoro, Ivan Gunawan, Deden Siswanto, Barli Asmara, Ronald V. Gaghana, atc. And their creations are totally cool and cute!! not that i promoting Indonesian designers.. i just wanted to share the information about my country too.. just like our motto, "we share everything..."


Indonesia is well known with it's batik. Batik is Indonesian Produced. Javanese traditional batik, especially from Yogyakarta, has special meanings which is rooted to the Javanese idea of the universe. Traditional colours include indigo, dark brown, and white. Other regions of Indonesia have their own unique patterns which normally take themes from everyday lives, incorporating patterns such as flowers, animals or people. Batik or fabrics with the traditional batik patterns similar to the Indonesian batik are also found in several countries such as West Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda and Mali, the Caribbean, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Lucia, and in Asia, such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Burma.

Donatella Versace’s new collection definitely made its mark on the runway for the Fall 2009 shows.




Versace incorporated shocking hot pinks, fiery reds, and flashing oranges among her stunning and classic black, metallic, and gray pieces. While full neon dresses and gowns are normally considered ’80’s, Versace cleverly omitted jewelry and embellishments – leaving a clean and modern piece that cannot be mistaken as a vintage dress someone pulled out of their closet. The thin models graced the runway with fierce dark eye makeup and slicked back hair. it's really suitable with fall colour..

Nanette Lepore - Fall 2009 Fashion Week





Nanette Lepore is known for creating ultrafeminine pieces and her Fall 2009 collection was no different. The designer told media sources that she was inspired by “opulent women who mix and match pieces, travels a lot, collects and keeps clothes and mixes something fabulous with something old and vintage.” In her runway show, it was obvious to see the touches of vintage influences in the fabrics, silhouettes and color choices. But Lepore managed to put a modern glamorous spin on it all.

Designer fashion jewelry for Fall 2009 has a lot of textile elements so much so that i’m sure their already inflated price tags are especially exorbitant for a bunch of braided cloth and died feathers. I’ll admit, though, the feathers are cute for the fall colour, right?

This piece is warm and serene. A vermeil satin finish gold ring is shaped like a crescent on one side and skinny and dainty on the other. Assymetrically perfect.
A blood red faceted garnet briolette measuring about 9-10mm dangles beneath.
