Katie Ford, Ford Supermodel of the World Malaysia 2009 Finale Judge

The Ford Supermodel of the World Malaysia 2009 helmed by Amber Chia is set for a grand finale with the arrival of Katie Ford, heiress to Ford Models Inc, from New York. The final will be broadcast live in Astro Star World (Channel 711) on December 5,Saturday 8pm.

The 54-year-old businesswoman-turned-philantrophist and daughter of Ford Models’ founder Eileen Ford met up with the show’s executive producer, supermodel Amber Chia. Ford will also be a guest judge on the show and help determine who among the six finalists will represent Malaysia at the Ford Supermodels of the World Finals in Brazil on Jan 16.


Aside from working hand-in-hand with Amber Chia, Katie Ford will also be spending a private holiday in Pangkor Laut Resort, where she is tipped to meet Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, the YTL Corp managing director.


The world’s largest modelling agency is responsible for discovering Hollywood celebrity models like Jerry Hall, Jennifer Connelly, Kirsten Dunst, Chanel Iman and Patricia Velasquez. Ford last visited Malaysia in 2001 for the country’s first Ford Supermodel of The World competition.
